AVANTIX methodology

Change what matters.
Without starting from the solution.

ULTRA is AVANTIX’s method to understand real problems, intervene in cycles and validate each step with the people who operate the company. Technology comes in when it helps — not before.

What is ULTRA?

ULTRA does not offer magic recipes,
it starts by understanding reality.

Every company has a different operation, people, problems, constraints and capabilities. That is why ULTRA does not start from a predefined solution.

We look at what is happening, what really hurts, how work is done today and which change could produce a concrete result.

Then we design, implement, validate and learn with the people who operate the company.

If the method contradicts the company’s reality, reality prevails.

Principles

Five rules to avoid confusing transformation with activity.

  1. 01

    Real pain first

We start with the problem that creates the most friction today. Not with what looks good in a catalogue, nor with the tool that seems to be missing.

  2. 02

    Early wins

Change needs visible signs of improvement. A small improvement the team uses and recognizes is worth more than a large transformation that still exists only in a plan.

  3. 03

    Minimum viable

We do not try to ultralize the whole company at once. We build the minimum needed to prove a new way of working, then we iterate.

  4. 04

    Continuous improvement

Each close produces information for the next cycle. The goal is not to finish a document: it is for the company to keep improving on what was learned.

  5. 05

    People decide. Technology executes.

Technology can automate, integrate and accelerate. People keep judgment, decisions and responsibility. Automating something we still do not understand only accelerates the problem.

The cycle

Nine stretches that start again.

ULTRA works in cycles. Each pass aims to solve a concrete problem, validate an improvement and leave a more mature base for the next challenge.

  1. Entry

Listen, understand the pain and confirm there is a real need to work on.

Exit: A first shared synthesis of the problem.

  2. Definition

Agree what we want to change, what stays out and how we will know it worked.

Exit: Agreed scope and expected result.

  3. Design

Understand how work is done today and design with the team how it should work tomorrow.

Exit: Design of processes, roles and decisions.

  4. Planning

Turn the design into priorities, owners, milestones and clear close criteria.

    Exit: An executable work plan.

  5. Implementation

Work with the people who must sustain the change and turn what was agreed into operations.

Exit: Changes implemented and used in a real context.

  6. Verification

Validate with evidence that what was implemented matches what we agreed.

Exit: Progress verified before moving on.

  7. Release

Document, train and leave what the team needs to take over.

Exit: Operating autonomy of the team.

  8. Operation

Observe what happens when the new way of working meets reality.

Exit: Evidence of how the change holds.

  9. Maintenance

Learn, adjust, keep what works and identify the next problem that deserves a new cycle.

Exit: Learnings and the next cycle.

Stretch 09 returns to 01. The method is iterated; it is not archived.

We do not wait until the end to know if we are moving.

Quick wins

An improvement you can feel

We look for early results the team can see, use or verify. They build trust and prove we are working on something that actually matters.

MVP

The minimum that proves it works

Before scaling a new way of working, we need to show it can work with real people, processes and data.

Validation

There are moments when moving forward would be a mistake.

ULTRA moves when real conditions exist to do so, not to mark a stage as finished.

  1. 01

    Before starting

Is there someone with authority and time to sustain the change?

If not, we do not start.

  2. 02

    Before designing

Does the team understand which problem we are trying to solve?

If not, we create understanding first.

  3. 03

    Before implementing

Is there someone inside the company who can take over?

If not, we do not implement yet.

  4. 04

    Before releasing

Does what we built work with real situations or data?

    If not, we keep validating.

  5. 05

    Before closing

Can the team operate without depending on AVANTIX?

If not, the work is not finished yet.

Commitment

What you can expect from ULTRA. And what you cannot.

YES

What we do.

  • Method and prioritization.
  • Real problems before prefabricated solutions.
  • Work with the people who operate the company.
  • Progress that needs evidence to be considered closed.
  • Documentation that can be used in operations.
  • Technology when it adds value.
  • Progressive transfer of autonomy to the team.
  • Learning and continuous improvement.

NO

What we do not do.

  • Diagnoses to store in a drawer.
  • Generic transformations imposed from the outside.
  • Technology chosen before understanding the problem.
  • Automation of broken processes.
  • Projects that depend indefinitely on the consultant.
  • Promises we cannot validate.
  • Changes the team does not understand and cannot sustain.

Working together

ULTRA does not work if AVANTIX works alone.

A sustainable transformation needs participation on the company side. It is not fully delegated to a consultant.

  1. A real sponsor

Someone with authority to decide, unblock and sustain the work.

  2. Access to the people who do the work

We need to understand the operation with the people who live it every day.

  3. Operating honesty

We work with what actually happens, not with the ideal version of the process.

  4. Time to test and validate

Change needs people on the client side who can participate, test and take over.

The goal is not for you to need more consulting.

The goal is for the company to understand better how it operates, sustain what changed and have more capacity to solve the next problem.

If at the end of an intervention everything still depends on AVANTIX, the method did not fulfill its purpose.

Let's talk

Let's start with the problem. Not with the solution.

You don't need to know whether you need consulting, software, automation or a process change. Tell us what's going on and let's start by understanding it.
